Location: 35 km from Thalasserry and 60 km from Kannur town.KERALA

We visited Aralam sanctuary one month back. It was a quick visit on a rainy day. We moved inside the forest more than five Kms mostly in vehicle and some times by walk.unfortunately animals were not seen except some deers. There is a watch tower inside the forest.View from the tower is good. Sight of the river inside the forest is also pleasing to eyes. We camped in Kannur guest house.

Aralam Sanctuary is home to a vast variety of plants and animals in the Western Ghats. Elephant, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, Nilgiri langur, Hanuman langur, Malabar giant squirrel, etc can be seen here.

                                Thirparappu Water Falls

We visited Thripparappu falls two three months back ,on a rainy day.
A good trip, children can enjoy more as  there is a small swimming pool and a
children's park.

The famous  Thriparappu shiva temple is located by the side of the water falls-

This is the third temple of Sivalaya Ottam--during the festival of Shivrathri.

Thirparappu Falls is located 35 K.M from Nagercoil.

To reach Thirparappu Falls, the Trivandrum - Thakkalali-  route through the village of Nagercoil can be accessed. The falls lies close to Kulasekharam village.
