New Delhi visit was carried out by me and one of my close friend
Mr Anil Kumar in the midist of the cold December in 2016. Even though a period
of one year has been elapsed I am writing this short diary even after going to the
rear point of my memory.
It was only a five day visit, starting in the early morning of a cold December from
Thiruvanantha puram air port by Indigo
airlines en-routed to Bangalore and then connection flight to New Delhi. We
reached New Delhi air port by 2 in the afternoon almost 6 degree was the
temperature there at that time and that too decreased to 4 and then to 2
degrees by the time of our return journey , within five days. From the airport
we hired a taxi and went to Panickers tourist home in Karol Bhag, the best place
for a Malyalee to stay for two three
days with fantastic Kerala food and neat hosting by the panickers team
providing with good blankets, room
heaters and all in reasonable rent .
The next day morning we went for sight seeing in Panickers bus. Traveling
was heavy for two day's scheduled with specific time span at each point. All
most all places in new Delhi and Agra
were covered by us in two and half days. We being both males with not so much
difficulty to walk,we were able to cope up with the plan of our Guide,
regarding time management, after taking necessary photographs we wanted.
Some famous places we visited there are listed -----
The Red Fort
Jama Masjid
Purana Qila and National
Zoological Park
ISKCON Temple
Nizammudin Dargah and
Nizammudin ki Baoli
Lodhi Garden
India Gate
Qutub Minar
Red Fort and Chandni Chowk
Humayun’s Tomb
Rashtrapati Bhawan
Connaught Place, Janpath
and Mandi House
Rajghat
Indira Gandhi museum
In Agra we covered Agra fort Taj Mahal, Akbers Tomb , Mina
masjid,
Madhura temple
Kanch mahal
Situated at a little distance, on the eastern side of the main (southern) gateway of Akbar's Tomb at Sikandara. Originally surrrounded by a garden, with the usual causeways, water-courses and tanks, it was a harem quarter, a 'mahal' or 'Ladies Resort' which was also used as the Royal Shikargah , etc.
On the third day ,in the evening we shifted our camp to Kerala
House ,New Delhi and went for sight seeing and purchase in connaught place, one
of the famous business center and financial hub of New Delhi ,palika bazaar etc .
On the fourth day morning we went for a ride in Delhi Metro and
went to Akshardham temple /Swami Narayin temple, which is one of
the wonders in the world.
Fifth day in the after noon we left New Delhi by jet airways.
